Session descriptions
This training steps out the service model and how to embed Advantaged Thinking within the operational delivery of Better Futures. Suitable for Better Futures Leadership, Development Coaches, Community Connectors and relevant stakeholders working with young people transitioning from care.
This role-specific training builds on Development Coaches’ understanding of Advantaged Thinking and develops their practice to coach, rather than case manage, young people. It explains the stages and principles of coaching, which help to enable a positive rapport between young person and coach.
This role-specific session is a dynamic, ever-changing space which invites new and experienced Development Coaches to be curious, to reflect on their current practice wins and challenges and deep dive into an aspect of Advantaged Thinking practice.
This role-specific training for new Community Connectors explores the role of Community Connections in Better Futures, theoretical understandings such as Social Capital, and how we can create opportunities for young people.
This role-specific training supports those in Better Futures/Home Stretch Team Leader and Manager positions to understand the operational aspects of Better Futures and how to create and maintain an Advantaged Thinking culture within teams.
This training runs across two sessions and focuses on how best to support young people with disability in Better Futures.
