As a Team Leader/Manager, you play a key role in enabling your team’s practice development. This includes creating space for staff to understand the importance of Advantaged Thinking, deepen their coaching practice and access these practice opportunities already available through BSL.
Practice Development Opportunities
Below is an overview of the BSL offerings available to all Better Futures practitioners. Download the Practice Development Checklist to guide staff to the right learning at the right time and keep across staff engagement with BSL training.
Short, self-paced online modules introducing core concepts such as the Better Futures service model, Advantaged Thinking, coaching, the Offers and working with young people. Ideal for onboarding and to stretch practice for seasoned practitioners.
Online and in-person workshops that build practice skills, share examples of best practice and create space in a supported environment to explore how we work with young people.
Separate to the training offer, the CoP is a biannual state-wide online event offering specialist events for Leadership, practice-focused workshops, peer exchange, access to expert content and service development working groups. Designed to strengthen collective practice and embed Advantaged Thinking across the sector.
